About Kufic
The oldest calligraphic form of the Arabic script, named for the city of Kufa. Angular and geometric, built from straight strokes and squares. Used for early Quran manuscripts and coinage. The square Kufic variant wraps words into architectural patterns. Still favored for mosque decoration and modern logos.
