About Thuluth
A monumental style whose name means one third, possibly from the proportions of its letters. Letters are tall and interlacing, crowned with sweeping vowel marks. Favored for headings, mosque inscriptions, and dome text. The Ottoman master Mustafa Rakim perfected its towering alif. One of the hardest styles to master.
