About Luwian Hieroglyphs
The indigenous writing of the Hittite empire and later kingdoms of Anatolia. Over 500 pictorial signs, mixing logograms and syllabograms. Written in boustrophedon lines that alternate direction. Deciphered starting in the 1930s, revealing Luwian, an Indo-European relative of Hittite. Seals and rock inscriptions are the main sources.
