About Thai Script
Created by King Ramkhamhaeng. Has 44 consonants, 15 vowel symbols, and 4 tone marks. Written left to right with no spaces between words. Uses the same 10 digits as Western numerals but with Thai shapes. The rounded letter shapes come from writing on palm leaves with a stylus. Over 20 million users. No punctuation marks in traditional usage.
