Created by disciples of Saints Cyril and Methodius. Used by over 250 million people across Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, and other countries. Has 33 letters in the Russian version. The backward R is actually the letter Ya meaning I. Some letters look like Latin but have different sounds. Bulgaria and Russia use slightly different versions.
