About Gothic Alphabet
Invented by Bishop Wulfila to translate the Bible into the Gothic language. Largely based on Greek with letters from Latin and runes. 27 letters, each with a name and a numerical value. The Silver Codex preserves much of the Gospels in Gothic. The language itself died out by the 9th century.
