About Kannada Script
The classical script of Karnataka, sibling of Telugu within the southern Brahmic family. Nearly identical structure but with characteristic hooked letterforms. The earliest dated inscriptions are over 1,500 years old. Literary Kannada has won the Jnanpith award eight times, the most of any Indian language. Also used for Tulu and Konkani.
