About Ranjana
An ornate Brahmic script developed in Nepal for Buddhist manuscripts. Alternating thick and thin strokes suit both palm leaf and paper. Newari scribes produced Mahayana texts copied across the Himalayas. Also used in Tibet and Mongolia for book titles. One of the most decorative descendants of Brahmi.
