About Shavian Alphabet
A phonetic alphabet for English funded by the will of playwright George Bernard Shaw. 48 letters designed so that related sounds share shapes rotated or flipped. Deep letters are voiced, tall letters unvoiced. The play Androcles and the Lion was published in it. Never widely adopted, though Unicode encodes all its letters.
