About Phaistos Disc
A fired clay disc from Minoan Crete stamped with 241 tokens of 45 distinct pictorial signs in a spiral. The only example of its kind, found at Phaistos in 1908. Signs include a crested helmet, a fish, and a walking man. Dozens of decipherments have been proposed, none accepted. Some suspect it is a forgery or an imported object.
